Hi.
So in continuation to Hershey's 3rd birthday chronicles, today I am sharing with you the - SAVE THE DATE invite I made.
I sent it to all my special friends in Facebook and planning to send it via e-mail to the rest. I think having this SAVE THE DATE invite gives your guests ample time to prepare for your party.
My next task is to visit our venue as our friend's friend confirmed they have booked the function hall in Azalea.
Glory to God for everything!
Blessings ♥

Hershey's 3rd Birthday - Preparation I
Hershey is turning 3 years old on the 4th of March this year and I have started going through the party planning already. Actually I am already a bit late on the planning but still confident as I already have some plans in mind, just starting to make them happen. It's not a big party anyway, we can still handle it with less time.
On her birthday itself, we might celebrate it at Church and on the 5th, Saturday, we will have a princess party for her. She has been wishing a princess theme party since she started to love the Disney Princess characters. My original plan was actually a Hawaian / Luau theme because March falls on a summer and thought of renting a pool side chalet to work with the theme. But my daughter knows what she wants, well sometimes confused like suggesting a Barbie party as well. haha.
So I got my Excel file ready. First, we had venue viewing. My best bet is a function hall in a condominium but problem is, we need to have a sponsor (condo tenant) to use the facility and those people we knew who used to live in a condo have already gave up their units and transferred on a cheaper flat, we call it here HDB units. Hopefully we can confirm one this week, we will contact a friend's friend. Last weekend although we already have visited Aranda before, we again went there to personally check their party hall and chalet. See pictures below.
The above shows the reception area and the function hall. The hall looks very nice and ideal, it can seat 80-100 persons but it is 35-55sgd/pax and should be atleast 50 pax reservation. Faint! LOL So after meeting the person in charge, I said good bye to the nice hall in my mind. :) I didn't think twice striking it off on my venue list! haha
The next venue we visited was the chalet. The rent is around 300+ SGD for an overnight stay of 2 RM chalet. The place is nice but we cannot bring food on a warmer - that will be considered outside catering already and they don't allow it. We can only bring food put on a regular container.
This is the inside. That is where I plan to put the party itself.
This is the terrace outside. That's my hubby! haha.
And the BBQ pit. We can have BBQ if we like. :)
We are also considering this if the condo function hall is not possible.
Last Sunday we visited Wild Wild Wet in Pasir Ris.
I will be editing this blog for pictures we took, I left it at home.
They got nice package and honestly considering it. My daughter loves to swim and she can swim together with friends while having party celebration at the same time. We toured around and went home 50% decided to book one of the party slots.
In the evening I asked my daughter, would you like to have a party in the pool where you can swim the whole day and enjoy with friends or would you like a Disney princess party? She looked at me and answered without any hesitation, " I want to wear a crown, mom. I want to wear a dress like Snowhite. Pano ako dress, wet na yun sa water!" So there, she already decided what she wants, deal closed.
This week we are visiting a friend's friend who lives in a condo. There is still hope. Once we book the condo hall, I will start looking for decorations, catering services, hosts, etc.
Will update you. :)

MOMMY MOMENTS - Achievement
Following the Mommy Moments today talking about achievements. I would like to share my daughter's achievement as she really did her best to overcome - fear.
Before she reached 2 years old she is fond of mascots. We can bring her and take pictures together with mascot without crying but it came to a point that she was already scared of them. She doesn't like to come near Dora, Care bears, Yogi bears, etc etc. When we finalized our plan to visit Disneyland, we started talking to her saying that there will be big Mickey mouse, she will meet Minnie, Donald Duck, all these she sees on TV come to life and she was a bit challenged. I tell her that her fear cannot ruin our vacation, she has to enjoy because not everyone can visit Disneyland or go to a vacation like hers. You know what I mean. Hehe. I always see her eyes contemplating, I know she is listening. I let her watch videos in YT. See how kids enjoy Disneyland, who they meet, what they do. And I want to specially mention that every time we pray, she never miss to add that the Lord will take away her fear, "Jesus, di na ma afraid si Hershey..."
The Disneyland day came and her prayers were answered, our efforts were successful.
We first saw Mickey and Minnie when we entered Disneyland. She had solo pic and even planned of going back inside for more time with the two.
Then Duffy, the newest Disney character to interact with guests is Mickey’s very own teddy bear—made with love by Minnie Mouse for Mickey to take on all his travels.
Even a picture together with the Shark mascot at OceanPark HK.
Every time I remember how brave she was, how she overcame her fear, I am so proud of my 2 year old to already know how to deal with life. And it was great seeing her enjoyed our trip.
For me this is a big achievement for her and an achievement for us too.

Cathay Pacific : SIN-HK-SIN Dec 2010
Our much awaited Hong Kong vacation came to pass - we were there December 27 2010 - Jan 01 2011. Yes, we celebrated New Year out of the country. It was different. I was such a great experience.
Instead of staying on a hotel, I canceled our booking and stayed at my husband's relatives in Mong Kok. Thanks to them, we had free accommodation for 5 days.
I will write about our 5 day trip to HK, discuss all I can on every post and share it with you but for now I would like to sort of review our airlines.
We flew via Cathay Pacific and had no regrets. No delayed flights, crews are polite, good customer service, the food is great, the flight wasn't bumpy at all, they also have freebies for kids - my only complain is the seat arm rest plus the tray are unclean, we have to clean them with baby wipes nevertheless, still, I didn't report it to the crew anymore, they were tolerable because the services are great. In short we had a pleasant flight and will surely consider them again.
These are my daughter's pictures during the flight. Those are her meal, she loved it. We were given special meals by the way, I requested for it when I book our tickets online. Unlimited drinks, they serve wine and tea, bread, peanuts, etc. The freebies for kids are nice. Although Stitch is not H's favorite but the goodies entertained her during the flight. Cathay Air is kid friendly indeed and it was important for us, we want our travel to be comfortable and enjoyable especially to our little one.
They got few channels on board to choose from as well. On our way home, I was able to catch Eat, Pray, Love. I didn't have the chance to finish watching this at home, it was cool to have it during our flight.
We had a great experience at Cathay really. See you again.

Prayers for our Children
Although they are already on their 3rd project, I would still like to join the rest on this very nice project of theirs from - Fixing Your Heart on Titus 2
From the site it says, "Each week, we will share a project that relates to being a Christian woman and living out our Titus 2 roles in real life. It could relate to being a wife, or a mother, or a homemaking, or serving in the community, etc…"
The below are the things we will pray for for our children. If you are still single, childless, you can also pray for your siblings, your nieces, nephews, children of your friends, your family, yourself or whoever the Lord tells you to pray for.
Monday: That they will know Christ early in life (Psalm 63:1; 2 Timothy 3:15)
Tuesday: That they will respect those in authority over them (Romans 13:1)
Wednesday: That they will desire the right kind of friends (Proverbs 1:10; 13:20)
Thursday: That they will be protected from the evil one in each area of their lives – spiritual, emotional, and physical (John 17:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
Friday: That they, as well as those they marry, will be kept pure until marriage (1 Corinthians 6:14-17)
Saturday: That they will learn to totally submit to God and resist Satan (James 4:7)
Sunday: That they will be single-hearted, willing to be sold out to Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2)
Blessings ♥

MOMMY MOMENTS - New Stuff
FRIDAY is MOMMY MOMENTS. Today's topic - things that our little ones received last Christmas.
We celebrated Christmas in our home together with our Church friends. We had a hawaian party but before that we had sharing the word of God by Pastor Joel, praise and worship, testimonies then, noche buena! :) Here is my daughter's pic during the party.
Dec 25 morning we opened gifts. My daughter received a lot of gifts from our friends and from us, her parents. These are some of those which she received.
From my husband colleague and my LC friend - Haslemere, a barbie guitar. :)
The Leapfrog Scribble and Write, from us.
This book from my friend Malou. :)
I can list all those gifts she recieved but I dont think it's needed. I appreciate them and she loved those but Christmas is all about the first giver - Jesus who gave his life to save our sins and my daughter knows that. We tell her the true reason behind Christmas, no Santa or the raindeer. She doesn't even know they exist. LOL That makes her focus to the only giver of life, to Christ.
Happy MM!

GT: Loving relationship with Hubby
GT Thursday.
What is my 2011 resolution when it comes to my relationship specifically with hubby?
Well there are things that I need to change. I think I am becoming his nightmare sometimes, I sometimes NAG. :( You can't blame me, he just doesn't listen! LOL
I should be careful with what I say especially when we fight. I sometimes tend to say hurtful words without thinking of the implication. That is just so bad.
I should not share with the big expenses. My husband's hobby sometimes take a big part of our budget - he buys whatever he thinks he needs especially when it comes to his guitar playing. I am making this a reason to buy what I love as well. This adds up to non sense expenses.
It is easy to talk with hubby in terms of family matter. He is an ideal family man. Especially when it involves our daughter, he never hesitates.
I think I should also love him more. Continue to take care of him. See to it he eats healthy. Jog with him. Enjoy his music.Thank him for loving me back, as much as I expect it. Thank him for not chaging, he is still the sweetest, he still spoil me whenever he can.
I'm sure it will be easy as long as I want to have a better relationship with him. He is in the Philippines today ti Sunday to attend a wedding. I already missed him.

Missing Victory Christian Fellowship
It was the other day when I felt goosebumps seeing Ptr Julius Fabrigas on FB. He was the preacher most of the time on the 5 PM service at VCF Galle. Then I realized, I missed going to that church, hearing their type of preaching.
VCF has made a huge difference in our lives. God has used this church to make my hubby become interested in the Christian faith. We have attended several churches but it was with VCF where he had encountered a deeper touch of the holy spirit. I am glad we found a little family there. We knew Mooch and Joey Mantes. They were our cell group leader although we only shared little time with them but Mooch and Joey became Hershey's godparents. We still communicate until now and we still feel very close with each other.
Missed you VCF. May the Lord continue to use you inspiring other people's lives.

GT: Health is Wealth
Joining GT's first topic of the year! Happy. This January we will all be sharing about our new year resolutions on different aspects of our lives. Today it is about HEALTH.
I think this is important. I think this is something I should really work on. I have been dreaming of getting fit naturally - you know without taking a slimming coffee or whatever. Few months ago I bought a set of badminton rackets, a net and last month bought my new Nike pink shoes because I thought I want to loose weight playing badminton and jogging. When my hubby and I were just dating, we were badminton game enthusiasts. We meet with friends and book badminton courts on different locations in Quezon City. It was fun! I envy my friends who join marathons here and there. Atleast was able to let Hershey join the Standard Chartered Kids Dash marathon which happened last month. It was a Singapore-wide event.
So this year, I would really be glad to have at least once a week jog around our park. Exercise and exercise.
I would like to religiously take my Vitamin C.
Continue to say yes to organic food. Buy organic, eat organic.
Continue to use Olive / Canola oil.
Eat less fatty food. Eat more veggies and get fresh fruits as snacks.
Sleep early. Sleep more.
There... I know it's easy. I just need to always remember that health is wealth.

Longchamp Limited Edition - Lafayette Galleries beige
I have been hoping to get another limited edition Longchamp bag from Paris. LC Paris as far as I know has two limited edition Le Pliage bags - Eiffel tower and Lafayette Galleries. I already have the latest Eiffel tower design, entry HERE, and just recently I was able to purchase the Lafayette Galleries Le Pliage straight from Paris! La-love. I actually didn't have budget but my good friend Rhanni shouldered the payment for me first. He he.
3 of my other friends ordered, Jenicka - Eiffel tower in graphite, Malou - Galleries in beige and Rhanni - Galleries in black.
And now included on my collection --

A Time for Everything - 2011
Hello again!
How were everyone's Christmas and New Year celebrations? I'm sure you had a great time with your loved ones. When we were celebrating new year in Hong Kong, I had my moment to look back. How well did my 2010 went? How about you? How was your 2010? Were you able to do what you had on your 2010 new year's resolution list? Were you good? Did you gain new friends? Were you able to give more? Love more?
As for me, it was perfect. I had my time to laugh and cry, I had my moment of satisfaction and disappointments, I was able to gain new friends and lost a few, I received more and gave back more, was able to extend my love, i tried to be more understanding and forgiving. I was hurt and still maybe hurting but my heart is mending. I had my time when I was strong but also been weak. I lived like a vulnerable human being but I don't mind. I am actually thankful because if I have to list down the negatives versus the positive things that happened to me, I'm sure I will top the negative with all the blessing the Above has given me. When I say blessing, this is not all the time money, dollars, tangible things - these includes relationships, promotions, laughter, happy moments, not all the time money can buy.
This 2011, I am facing the year with a smiling face because I am not alone with the journey. I have my family, my friends, my God. I will not be crashed by ugly circumstances, thus I will make that an opportunity to be strong and and prayerful. I wish my friends good health and more blessing - more money on their bank accounts. I want my friends to be happy, I want them to enjoy the many blessings from above and hear happy stories from them. I will feel blessed when they are. I wish my family longer lives, blessings upon blessing into their lives. I want my reader to know that there is God who enjoys blessing us. So keep on believing.
We will have our own time. We will wait for our best time and I pray 2011 is the best time for us all - promotion in our jobs, repair broken relationships, healing from sickness, salvation for our loved ones and many more. Sharing with you below.
and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
We will have our time. To the Giver of life, we bring back all the praise and thanksgiving to your alone. Be with us as we face the new year. Amen.

Blessings ♥
