Father's day is coming soon!

Is it? I am not sure when but I was obliged to think about my gift to my husband when I received a promotional e-mail from www.artscow.com

I have been thinking of what to give to him on that day after he sweetly gave me my favorite cologne scent from Body Shop last Mom's day. I am sure though what he wants for father's day is something he can enjoy and that is some guitar paraphernalias. Hmmmm... a guitar pick maybe? LOL. That wouldn't cost me too much.

When I saw the sample product Artscow is giving away for promotion, I thought this something that he might happy to receive.

So I made two designs immidiately and was able to check out my order after 30 mins. So fast ah! :D

Two neckties for him. Blue and Pink. Hehe. I remember he mentioned that the pianist at church has a necktie with musical notes design and he just loved it. What more if he sees not really our faces, but our daughter's cute smiling faces on it? That will be just perfect.

As for the pink one, I really cannot think of any other design but while I browse silverlight design kit I saw Love Forever template which I decided to use to incorporate our "forever love" as a family but it turned out it won't be for us. I added more words, Hope - Prase - Glory which are obviously linking to the highest One. LOL. I like it better.

I already have paid for it and just so excited to receive it I hope soon.

Happy father's day to all daddies and mommies, please think of your gifts to your loving partners NOW!:)

Daily Grace Post # 3 Double For Your Trouble!

Double For Your Trouble!

Zechariah 9:12

12Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

I am sure that you have heard the expression, “When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade!” Well, I want you to know that when the devil throws lemons at you, God Himself will make lemonade for you! After all, the Bible says that God works all things together for your good. (Romans 8:28)

And He does it with style — He restores double for your trouble! Beloved, if you have lost a husband or wife through divorce, or a precious child through death, God can restore double to you, so that you end up having more than before, if not in quantity, then in quality!

Consider Job in the Old Testament. When he lost everything, his wife told him to curse God and die. He refused and, instead, responded to God in faith, and “the Lord gave to Job twice as much as he had before”. (Job 42:10)

When David lost the child he had with Bathsheba, he stopped pleading and started worshiping God because he trusted in the mercies of God. Later, God blessed David and Bathsheba with another son named Solomon, who became the wisest and richest king the world has ever known.

Today, God promises to restore double for your trouble — “Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” If He declared it, He will do it! So you cannot but have hope that things will be even better than before. That is why in the same verse, He calls you “prisoners of hope”. My friend, hope in the biblical sense means a confident expectation of good things happening in your life. You are a prisoner of that! You can’t help but wake up feeling hopeful. You can’t help but expect good things to happen to you!

So when trouble comes from the devil, don’t give up and say, “It is hopeless!” Don’t worry or get angry. Worship God like David did and see that trouble as an opportunity for God to bless you with more than what you originally had. And because God has declared it, be confident that you will get double for your trouble!

Is your kid into photography?

Is your kid into photography? I asked because my daughter is. Like most parents, we also take pictures of our daughter's every move. Every special event in her life, we document it. That became an every day thing and my husband even upgraded himself in using the DSLR to have the best shots for Hershey. H saw us doing it while she grows and now at age two, she can comfortably use our digital camera.

See her latest shots.

She took a pic of her new doll she named "Pinky".

Even Daddy fresh from the shower.

Went outside to take a pic of the flat screen.
And everything she sees in the living room.
She was bending like a pro when she took pictures of these

Not bad, yeah? She knows what her subject is and she is trying to be very creative.

And this is her on the digicam. =0)

Facebook status: E

Hershey like other babies born in this modern world is a techy baby. :D She plays the computer, can control the mouse, drag and drop, play puzzle, click and double click, etc. She is also an ipod addict. She plays with it all the time - and all these were learned before she turned two. So what's the difference with her holding the blackberry? None, it's a natural thing. I am just on the look everytime she holds it because she might push or dial an overseas contact number. It's a company phone so I don't have the freedom to use it for non work related calls. I think. :D

We were in the living room tonight, watching Rosalka (pogi ni Felix Roco :D) and Hershey here is playing with my blackberry while her eyes on the TV. I don't want to get the berry from her by force because she won't give in or worst, she'll through it away. Maldita. Although for few seconds I also get the chance to hold it and check my facebook updates but that is all I can do. Until the time she has to go downstairs to drink her milk, I saw Ate Jans replied on my status. To my surprise the below is what I saw, E.

She did it. Grrrr! Posted via Facebook Blackberry. Kalowka! What else can you do soon, anak? Posting 1-letter status on facebook, using your toes to browse the ipod and a lot more. haaay. kakaiba ka. amazingly cute. :)

I can't wait til IKEA day

Naku, it's already Thursday and I'm 1 sleep away from Friday. I love Friday because it is the last day of work for the week. Even if it is sometimes busy, it feels like it's not because my body and mind are ready for freedom in the next hours.

When it is Friday, I am then 1 sleep away for Saturday. For 10 Saturdays, my husband and I will be stage parents to H who is into Weekend school at ACES Montessori. Although I really would love to sleep longer on Saturdays but since her class starts at 9.15AM, we have to wake up early to prepare.

If we don't have other plans on a Saturday, we just normally stay at home and wait for 5PM to prepare ourselves for Barkadahan Kay Kristo Saturday Service at the Salvation Army Changi corp. We used to have this Saturday service at my brother's place who is our pastor.

Sunday is ofcourse church day. We go to Lighthouse Evangelism in Tampines. usually the 11 AM service. After church, we go to IKEA to have lunch and do my stress reliever, shopping. This is my new mall. I really can't wait because I already have lists of things to buy from there. I want to organize all these remaining papers/folders/envelops clutter we have in our room so I am buying storage boxes. The white boxes here I think should work.
And 3 large Samla transparent boxes for our storage room. Our storage room is pretty messy and so aside from the storage boxes, I'm buying from Ikea their cheap but sturdy rack. 2 of them as the other one will be placed in the kitchen.
I'm also running out of scented candles. I particularly buy all the scents of Tindra scented candles.
Ofcourse, we can't missed the Children's IKEA. I need small storage boxes for Hershey hair accesories. I don't know yet what exactly to buy. I also need something for her books.  I might get a basket for this so we can just place it anywhere in the room and would still look good. She has the Vesla storage boxes in all colors which we use keep her toys together with a cabinet na napulot lang. :)

Yaya shiela who is going home to Bacolod next month is also planning to buy Saxan towels. These towels that comes in different colors are number 1 pasalubong to the Philippines. It only costs 5 Sgd. :)

I really hope I could buy them all. I want I want!

Luke 17:15 DailyGrace # 2

Thank Your Way To Greater Blessings : Luke 17:15

15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,

People who have a grateful heart are always praising God. You often hear them say, “God is good!” They know that God is the reason for every blessing they get.

But there are those who look to God for blessings and when they get blessed, they just go on their merry way. Their hearts are captivated by the blessings instead of the One who has blessed them.

Jesus had an encounter with both these types of people when He walked into a village one day. Ten lepers cried out to Him, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” (Luke 17:13) Now, when you call out to Jesus for mercy, He always hears you. On another occasion, when two blind men cried out to Him, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” He took the time to give them their miracles. (Matthew 9:27–30)

So these 10 lepers cried out to Him for mercy. He stopped, looked at them and said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And “as they went, they were cleansed”. (Luke 17:14) But only one came back and fell at Jesus’ feet, giving Him thanks. Notice the very sad words of Jesus that followed: “Were there not 10 cleansed? But where are the nine?” (Luke 17:17)

The other nine obviously knew that it was Jesus who had cleansed them. Yet, they did not bother to go back and thank Him. My friend, let it be said of you that when the blessings come, you remember to give God the praise, glory and honor, and acknowledge that He is the source of every blessing in your life.

Do you know that when the man came back to thank Jesus, he received the additional blessing of becoming whole? Jesus said to him, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” (Luke 17:19, KJV) He was not just cleansed of leprosy, he got his missing fingers and toes back!

My friend, when your heart is thankful toward God, you position yourself for even greater blessings!

I encourage you to join as it will help develop the faith in you. In won't hurt, it will instead draw you closer to your God.

Below is the message from yesterday,

Matthew 6:33

33… seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God doesn’t want you grabbing the newspaper first thing in the morning and reading all the bad news in the world. He knows that if you do that, your heart will be full of cares, anxieties and even fears.

This happened to a mother who read in the newspaper that children from China studying in our local schools were becoming top students. She wrote to the press, voicing her concerns about the stiff competition her child would face from these students, even for the top jobs in Singapore in the future.

When you are reading the newspapers, magazines, medical journals, economic reports, watching movies or surfing the Internet all the time, then you are getting your “nourishment” from these sources instead of God’s Word. Now, I am not against these things. But if you constantly feed only on earthly things which cannot satisfy, you will fill your heart and mind with cares and worries.

Jesus doesn’t want you to end up worrying about your life — what you will eat, drink or wear — as these are the things that the Gentiles (people of the world) seek. He says that your heavenly Father knows very well that you need these things. (Matthew 6:31–32)

That is why He promises you that if you would seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, all these things that the world seeks after will be added to you. It will not just be given but added, which means greater in quantity and quality!

If you are broke, don’t pursue money. Pursue God your prosperity. If you are faced with lack, don’t pursue material goods. Pursue God your provider. If you are sick, don’t pursue the “cure”. Pursue God your healer.
My friend, don’t grab the newspaper or call your friend first thing in the morning to talk about the latest bad news. Instead, grab your Bible and read all the good news God has for you for the day. And as you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all the things that the world is running after will be added to you!

PhotobookS Order Received

Update: Photobooks received. Below are the finished products of the pb I made online via, http://www.photobook.com.my/ (PB) using their software Photobook Designer* which I downloaded for free.

After 1 week of confirming my order, I received the below e-mail from PB support:

Dear MARY ,
Thank you for the Photobook Order!
We are pleased to inform you that your Photobook order PBO0008290 has been shipped out on 2010-05-05 17:06:00.
The tracking number for your order is: 1527004441 and it will be shipped by Standard Courier.
Express Courier for Singapore: DHL Express (1-2 business days).

I wasn't expecting to receive it soon because I only chose Standard Courier which takes maybe 3-5 working days to arrive. To my surprise, I got the photobooks on the next day. Happy!

I made two photobooks. The first one was an 8x12, 40 pages softcover pb. It was for H's dedication and her 1st 12 months compilation photos. Supposedly this one would be a trial order but when I tried the software with the birthday pictures in the office and discovered the better way to do it, I pushed through the second project.

The second pb is an 11x11 square 40 pages imagewrap hard cover which I like better than the first.

Rant, I can't find any. :) I'm happy with what I got on the price I paid.

Thanks Daddy for the pictures.
