thoughts, only thoughts

from the internet

Thoughts of the day.

1) If my e-mail messages are water, I already have drowned.
2) My husband loves me more than I love him. LOL
3) If I am at home now, I won't be able to do any household chores but Facebook. Loser.
4) I am thinking of all ways and means to lose fat, but it is all in the mind. I am fat and lazy.
5) The money I have in the bank will stay there longer if I keep myself away from the stores.

Chos!

Buffet Lunch at 50% off

Last Saturday we had our Women's fellowship which turned out to be another small gathering of not only women but both men and women of our church plus Hershey. We had buffet lunch at Holiday Inn hotel where we pay only half of the original price. I bought the discounted voucher online, from http://deal.com.sg/deals/singapore which offers discounted prices for travels, hotels, spa, buffet treats, etc. It was really hassle free booking with them.

If you haven't tried yet, check this link, How it works: http://deal.com.sg/how_it_works

This is the entrance of the restaurant.

and this is us.

Got my free cookware

Blogging on a Sunday!

Today, I've received my free Pyroflam cookware. I'm happy because aside from the fact that the cookware looks high in quality, it is also free!

Few months ago, Giant supermarket and shop n save started a stamp collection promotion. I am an NTUC Fairprice grocery goer so I thought it would be impossible for me to collect even the least number of stamps to collect a price. The price is a pyroflam cookware. From the day we knew they have this promotion, I told M we go to Giant Tampines once a month to have some grocery shopping. Ikea is very near it too so let that day be just my stress reliever, Ikea day as well.

Thank God, I've collected 83 stamps enough to get a 2 liter round casserole with glass lid. It's retail price $85. Not bad, ey!

Just that! Happy happy!

Monday Blues

Do you feel tired and the most sleepy on a Monday morning? Feels like you can't get off the bed, you drag yourself up, make it to the shower but your mind and body still want to just snuggle your sheets and your pillows. I think some of us must have been thinking of a good excuse not to go to work while trying to keep up. That is the struggle on a Monday.

Actually right now [and to most of my Mondays] I fee really really tired and sleepy. If given a chance to doze off on my workstation, I will but I am seated 2 computers away from our boss, I am stationed few steps away the entrace, so, neah, not really the best and safest spot to satisfy myself.

They say that there is a scientific explanation with this Monday morning blues. From Ehow.com it says,"Our internal clocks naturally operate on a day that is longer than 24 hours. By the time Monday rolls around each week, we've built up a sleep deficit of at least an hour. Of course, the weekend revelries and facing another work week don't help matters." Getting over weekends is not that simple and Monday as the first day of the working week is distressed.

I've read several tips to fight the Monday blues and I agree with all of them but I don't think I have faithfully done those each morning and so the result, me ranting now! LOL

Still thank God for Mondays, we cannot skip the days so Monday has to come so we can welcome the weekends. At least we've got only 4 days left and I want to be inspired by that fact.

Enjoy Monday, everyone!

We've moved house - again!

Yes we did and it was not fun at all. We were very tired these couple of days because we had to pack and unpack things, fix stuff, do some decorating to make the house a cozy home. I wish we have our own flat so we will be spared from the hassle of moving - nevertheless, thank you God for providing us with a small but beautiful house.

We had our house dedication last Thursday. Some members of the music ministry plus the elders joined us. I prepared pasta and nachos for dinner, ice cream for dessert. I know the food weren't too much, please forgive me as we were only days old in our current place, i dono where to buy the food i originally had in mind. But thank God everyone enjoyed what we prepared.

Kuya Jun shared the Word Of God through the story of King Solomon, how he gave importance to building of God's temple, how he desired the Lord to stay and live with them through His holy and magnificent temple. And with that the Lord was with Israel as promised. Like us, we are also dedicating our new house to the works of the Lord, whatever it maybe, for His glory. With 3 points to live by,

1. That the Lord will watch over your house night and day.
2. There will be no famine and diseases that could enter the house.
3. There will be plenty of blessings in Jesus name.

How kewl is that? :) And all we have to do is claim the prayers, done in His name. On the event that these bad forces pass by our home and family, we just have to go back to that prayer we claimed we received and He will not let it through.

That is my husband leading the Praise and Worship with my niece Mariel and my daughter. :D Sadly this is the only picture I took. I was so busy that night that I had no time to take pictures.

May the Lord's goodness be upon you and me, always.
