I've been reading some books non stop for the quiet sometime now. My friends have encouraged me supplying me pub copies of some love stories. Spent precious hours on it and so far just each minute spent is worth while. I'm enjoying.
Recently I finised the trilogy, three books of the Grey series. I'm sure you've heard and read about the Fifty Shades of Grey already. Authored by EL James, the story has been very controversial.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires. - http://www.eljamesauthor.com/

Yes, erotic. Reaching the first few chapters, I have to stop and think again, "Why am I reading, this?" I asked myself with doubts if I have to finish or not but what the heck, might as well finish what I have started. This is the first time I read this type of story, really. As usual i didnt research about what it is to expect but because of the hype and influence of my friends, I was glad to jump into it. But mind you, I got bored with the sexing part that I have to skip most of them. Ha! I have enough of those in our own room, you know. :)
And they live happily ever after. It ends that way. The plot is very simple, the conflict of the story is quiet common. How it was written is not really exemplary. Nevertheless, it captured the hearts of most women. The 5.3 million figure comprises 3.8 million physical books and 1.5 million ebooks (source: telegraph uk), well, not too bad, yeah? When I think about it, I guess what made this a hit is because of Christian Grey. Everyone must want to have her own Christian Grey. He is heaven sent. He is a complete package and more. Aside from his dark side, which eventually became somewhat of a spice in his and his wife's sexual relationship, he is one's dream guy. Prince William cannot even get close to him. Ha! And second, I think what really made it special is the fact that every woman wants to be loved. True love. In the story, it came to a point that Christian wants to forget all about his lifestyle just so Anastasia won't leave him. Way to go, Ana! Those hair! :)
I finished the 3 books in a couple days. Now that Hollywood wants to bring it to the big screen, I am wondering who could be on the casting. I am for Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer, perfect for bringing Christian Grey to life. You can choose whoever you want for Ana though. Ha ha
If I have to rate the books, overall, ヅ ヅ ヅ
