It's my name on the card now!

This morning, I was so excited to open my package from London. Well, from our office in London. :)  This is actually the second one this week, they just love mailing something to me when I could also get that personally there. Save their time and effort. *wink*

When I opened it, I wasn't really surprise because I know I will receive this soon but what I am excited about  is the fact that I will have my first set of business cards. LOL. I've been working here in Singapore as an IT professional for a couple of years now and I am on my second company but this is the first time I got my very own business cards, with my name on it! LOL

I stayed for about a year or so in my previuos job but my request for the cards came late since right after a week or so, we got retrenched. Ha ha. But I have one now! I am ready to meet clients again and exchange business cards with them. Watch me! :)

Is it obvious that I am happy?  He he. I am just thankful and grateful that I have my own card and I'm happy to distribute it to all who needs it. I just wish I can put a Bible verse on it so that anyone who reads it will be blessed by the Word of God. :) I'm so sure my husband will envy me! :)

Such a blessing. :)

Not my Mentos moment

I deserve those shoes! You want to know why...

That was really embarrassing. Nyehehehe.

Pag labas ko ng station, I hurriedly called home and asked Manang Ji-ji to bring me a pair of slippers and after 10 minutes, to the rescue ang humble tsinelas ko! hahaha.

I showed it to hubby and naawa sya saken. <3

Lesson learned, uhhmmm.... check your shoes from time to time, some of them has probably shown the sign of aging, fix them soon enough before this thing happen.

Who's insomiac?

I don't want it to be me! I want to sleep - 10 hours straight!

We were ready to sleep before 10 PM last night, earlier than our usual nights as we usually sleep after 1130 on weeknights especially because I am an avid fan ( although I don't wanna be obvious about it) of Imortal, a primetime show about vampires and wolves in TFC. LOL Speaking of vampires, when my daughter saw the commercial of Wall E on Disney Channel, she exclaimed, "Mom, that's my fave'rit!" and I said, yes, that's my fave'rit too but she disagreed and said, "No, fave'rit mo Jacob, Edwart, vampwire, tapos Otal (imortal)". I just LOL

So going back, I thought we will be sleeping early. After Hershey found her moment to get sleepy, I was left lying wandering. I checked hubby and found that he too is on his sweetest sleep so then I woke him up because I am a good wife, I need him to live by his promise, for better or worst, etc etc. LOL So my dear husband though already sleepy agreed and told me stories about anything while trying not to sleep. I checked the clock and it's past midnight and because I am a concerned wife, I told him it's timed out and we need to sleep although I still feel not sleepy.

It was difficult. I think just about anything. I see different faces. I prayed, I prayed. I'm not sure if I was able to sleep but I knew, I checked the clock 245 AM, 430 AM, 530 AM - I was restless until 545 I heard the alarm. I emailed my boss that I would be working from home as I am unwell and I saw Hershey woke up when I'm preparing to take a bath but eventually, I decided to just go to work.

Now I'm here, I went to Starbucks to get my morning latte to help me feel awake but I don't think it's helping. I want to go home and play with my daughter. I know this feeling - this is what I feel before every long break. I will be on leave starting on the 22nd of Dec and I can't wait! LOL I am already excited.

*Sigh* I wish I can sleep well tonight. Looking forward. Thanking heavens in advance.

I'm also a naughty creature! o:)

Dahil sa pagiging young and hip, isang gabe ay napag isipan naming magbabarkada na mag night out at gawin naman ang not the usual thing we do everytime nasa labas kami. So we decided to check out a gay bar. LOL  Yes, nakapasok na ako duon. Hehe. Haha. Basta I'm in control of whatever I do.

So ayun pumasok kami, kasama ko si Princess, Rhanni and her boyfriend, Kristine, Joy, Rowie and Er, then the couple Matilda and Patrick. I wasn't really expecting anything kasi wala akong idea kung ano nasa loob. Tapos to my surprise, akala ko kakayanin ko, nakupo, naghuhubad pala mga tao dito! Hahahaha.

LOL. nakakasuka! Tapos ang reaction ko pa nun, parang tinatawag namin yung boyfriend nya na nasa harap nya lang to stop the guy or whatever, magkatabe kami ni Rhanni e. Sigaw sigaw kami nun! hahahaha. Naughty! LOL

Ang saya pala balikan ng nakalipas. So natrauma na ako dun. LOL

Wala lang. Ibang klaseng post to. Humingi na ako ng tawad sa Dyos. Hehe. Reminiscing lang naman the old times. Haaay. I missed my friends!

Monarchs! I'll upload our pics soon. (Not the one in the bar, ha coz we don't have)

Singapore haze 10.2010

Singapore haze reached the unhealthy level last week when the Government warned everyone to stay indoor. Those with conditions such as chronic heart or lung ailments may experience more discomfort because of this. Those without heart or lung issues may just experience eye irritation, sneezing of coughing.

The haze started clouding the skies last October 16, I remember last Monday while waiting for the bus I told my husband what's up with the haze on the highway, he said it's just fog and we just realized it after a few days when haze reports were all over the news.

I took some pictures on my way home last Thursday. I took this from the bus going home.

This picture was taken October 21st from our flat, 9th floor of our building, around 5 PM

Haze in Singapore was attributed by the fires in Sumatra brought in by the prevailing southwesterly winds.Today, the Pollutants Standard Index (PSI) level according to the National Environment Agency of Singapore is at 37 as of 12NN which is on the acceptable level. It went up as high as 96 on Oct 22. More info here, http://app2.nea.gov.sg/psimonthly.aspx
This is how it looked like at 12NN today (Oct.25).

I wish this smoke will all go away soon. It is really not healthy for everyone for little kids, old people and people who are already suffering lung and heart issue most specially.

♥ Singapore. This is our home right now.

New Year celebration at Disneyland

source: Internet
Whew! So just a few minutes ago, I finally confirmed our hotel booking for our trip to HK this December. We are flying via Cathay Air on Dec 28 to HK and spend our New Year at Disneyland. How nice is that? I have prayed for this trip a year ago and asked God to let us experience new year celebration the Disneyland way and in about 2 months time my faithful God has approved it and we will be able to experience it now. We will be residing at MetroPark Kowloon hotel for 4 night. Now I can start working on our itenirary. My friend Jennifer gave me their last year's family HK trip itenirary, so I will just be basing ours from hers. :) Such a copycat! hehe.

I am happy and excited yes but if I think about the figures I have paid, airfare+accomodation, I already want to cry. waaah! I didnt expect it would cost this much. I wish Cebu Pacific sale seats are available here but what the heck, I've booked and paid for them already. So let me just see the other side of the coin now, to look forward for a happy new year! We also hope to meet my MIL there. She will be coming from the Philippines.

source: Internet
Hershey is already excited. She is excited to see Snowhite in person, she's just so inlove with her! She said she would kiss and hug Snowhite when she sees her. I really hope she wont get scared. She has 2 PINK winter jackets, boots from New Zealand (a pasalubong from her godmother) and new pram! She just needs few more shirts and I am getting ready too as it is colder in HK during this time, we will have to prepare few layers of clothes to warm us up. This is a major vacation for our family.

We will have our Christmas celebration in Singapore then off to Hongkong for the New Year! So, what's your plan this holidays? Advance happy Christmas and let's all have a blessed new year! :)

Thanks Jesus as usuall for making this possible.

Target of Criticism

" Iam a sinner, saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I have been however, unless I die to myself, I will remain as I am. If I will not share Jesus then, who? If not you then, who? "

This is the message I received from a Christian friend. She is someone who is more vocal and shameless when it comes to sharing her faith than I am. She would even post on her Facebook an invitation to accept Christ which is normally done at church. hahaha. My brother said, it is a shame for Christians to say they are Christians when they can't even speak about Jesus to anyone or don't even know a verse in the Bible. Like they say we are on Jesus generation now - if you believe that Jesus is God, say it! If you understand the necessity of it to those who doesn't know yet, you will work double time.

But being so expressive and blunt with your faith makes you the target of the enemy most of the time. You are the target of judgement by people who enjoys looking at somebody's fault and talk about it. You see we are all sinners and we sin everyday but if you have the Christ I have in my life, you will consider sin as sin and deal it with your God.

You don't go around people judging them because they don't do things in your way. It's man's standard anyway so it's not a big deal. Remember that Christians are not people pleaser but God pleaser. God's ways are not our way so let's spare those who like sharing their Christ to others. Maybe that is their calling. For as long as it doesn't hurt you, let it be.

Like Rod Parsley said, "The anointing attracts the favor of God. It also makes us the enemy's target - so don't be surprised when you're in the world's crosshairs."  This is for those who are being attacked of their being vocal about God. It is I think better to be criticized for being blunt than surprising your closest friends that you are indeed a Christian. "Ay, Christian ka rin pala?!" Face palm. That actually is still acceptable but just make sure that in front of God, He will identify you as His.

And also to those who are trying to live a Christ like life, remember that you will be an object of criticism so be careful with what you do and but for as long as you know in yourself the true you, go on and just pray. Love those who criticize you and don't do the same to them. Just continue to love and pray for them. We are still lucky to only have this kind of condemnation, remember the early Christians, some were burn alive, beaten and crucified, or even became the meal of lions and tigers because of their confession of faith. And most, remember your God who died for you also died for those you think are hurting you. So just don't stop sharing the good things the Lord has done in your life. There are more people who are blessed by what you share than people who just like to be your critic.

Like this guy said, 4ever_on_faith GARY VALENCIANO
"People often judge and condemn others for the very things they are guilty of themselves. God does not see u the way man sees you. Worry not."

Be blessed.

The running baby!

Hershey had her first fun race last Sunday . It was great because we ran for a cause. SpongeBob PinkPants Run was one of the activities held as part of the Breast Cancer Foundation's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Hershey's church friends, her kuyas, were also there. On the picture is Kuya Jhiel, both of them are running for the Kiddie Fun Race! :) Kuya Jomar on the other hand has joined the competitive race!

My mother in law who is here for a month long vacation also joined us. She was cheering while recording her only grand daughter's milestones!
And that was me and my daughter just enjoying every minute together running. She calls it "jogging" and stood by it til the finish line. She was so relax making her way unlike the rest of the kids who tries to ran swiftly. :)

When I first heard the gun fire and saw my daughter's eyes in excitement I was teary eyed. I was terribly enjoying the moment and felt happy for my daughter. Funny how she still can converse with me while running, she even noticed my sticker falling so I have to stick it properly again. Her dad was also all out supporting her, taking the best shots and video footage for his little one.

We were able to finish the 800m distance race. There were few times when she asked me to carry her but after less than a minute she would like to run and run again!

I enjoyed it so much. It was a great experience for us!

A psychic octopus

Have you heard of Octopus Paul? Well, I first heard or known of him when I saw him featured in Channel News Asia and a headline in xinMSN. It says, he is retiring? I was like, huh? I googled about him and found interesting information.

According to WIKI,

Paul (purportedly hatched January 2008) is a common octopus living in a tank at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany. Paul became internationally famous for correctly "predicting" the winner of Germany's seven matches at the 2010 World Cup, as well as the final.
During the divinations, Paul was presented with two boxes containing food in the form of a mussel, each box marked on the outside with the flag of a national football team in an upcoming match. He chose the box with the flag of the winning team in four of Germany's six Euro 2008 matches, and in all seven of their matches in the 2010 World Cup. He correctly predicted a win for Spain against the Netherlands in the World Cup final on 11 July by eating the mussel in the box with the Spanish flag on it.[2] His predictions were 100% (8/8) correct for the 2010 World Cup and 86% (12/14) correct overall. Paul was retired after the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The keeper at the aquarium claims that Paul wasn't the octopus which predicted the results for the 2008 UEFA European Football Championships, which would give him 100% accuracy overall.[3]

Please visit this if you want more, PAUL @ Wiki

And according to the http://www.dailymail.co.uk

"He's the world's greatest tipster, with a faultless record of predicting winners at the World Cup in South Africa.

But be warned, if you're after a tip for the final, you can't have a word in his shell. That's because Paul the psychic Octopus, like many molluscs, doesn't have a shell.

Paul, who resides at the Aquarium Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, has become a celebrity in Germany after predicting victories over Australia, Ghana, England and Argentina."

Need a new pram for Hershey

We were out these past few days, Saturday -Monday we were around Singapore. It was really tiring because aside from being a commuter, we also have to carry the 16.5 kgs baby when we are just on our foot, walking. She sometimes doesn't like to walk unless you tell her to run, Daddy is chasing! LOL. But adults can't really all the time in public, right? And she doesn't want her nanny to carry her, so it's really only me or her dad. *sigh*

So I talked to my daughter, telling her she's so heavy, mom and dad's arms feel numbed most of the time when we carry her so she must consider riding on a pram again. I am seriously thinking through this as she also had a fever since last night, i think because she was also exhausted and got sick when we got home. Atleast if she's on a pram, she can sit down comfortably or sleep if she likes (but sleeping on a pram is not her thing)

Hershey had used 3 prams/strollers so far. The first one is a Combi Machanacal, an orange pram given by my very good friend, Princess but unfortunately we lost it- left it in the cab.
Combi
Before we lost the Combi, I bought her an umbrella type  Cosco stroller from Toys R Us. It was very light weight. It was a really an ideal stroller until we left it on the cab again.

Cosco

And again before we lost the umbrella stroller, Hershey had her very famous to most of my friends, my super la-love  Quinny Buzz. :) This is the only pram she can sleep on. But unfortunately again, I sold it after 5 months usage because she doesn't want to ride on it anymore. Just that, one day, she doesn't want it at all. It was really sad to let go and sell it more than half the price.

Now, I'm contemplating on buying another one. We looked for one yesterday but most of the prams just hold kids up to 40 lbs and Hershey is almost 17kgs now.
We were at Mums&Babes yesterday and I saw the below,

Looks nice, right? :) My husband told H to not try to say yes when I asked her if she wants it because no doubt, she'll gonna ride home with it. LOL. Good thing, there was something that stopped me, problem is, it can only hold kids up to 40 lbs else you have to upgrade the tires. Tsk! Hassle!

Or maybe Zapp 2009? *Sigh* Most of the pram we checked are only ideal for children 40 lbs. That's not fair! But before I buy anything, I have to consult first the one who'll ride on it if she likes it or not. She already said yes, so let's see.

I pray that the Lord will show me the best pram for the little one. Sooonnn....

GT: Loving my Bod

Okay, so like other sisters, I am participating this week's GT,  I love my Body.   Girls Talk

Let's start with my behind. Many people said my best asset is my BUTT but sometimes I feel shy because it's bigger than normal. LOL

Singapore 2004

Also my legs, I dont know why but I receive a lot of compliments for it. I remember years ago at Kodak Cubao, the store owner told my husband (my boyfriend then) that he is lucky to have a girlfriend who has sexy legs. He can flaunt me to anyone. I feel good but felt bad at the same time. So that's it? My legs? Grrr.

2007 Pic

Another is my feet. :) They say I make sandals/open shoes look nice because I have nice feet. Aawww! LOL. I have an admirer when I was in college (both of us working part time in Mcdonalds) who loves touching my feet and even kissing it. LOL. Weird.

Also, thanks for my mom for sharing with me a body with curve. Before I gave birth my body stat is 34-25-35. Then eventually 35-28-37. LOL But still my waist is narrow. I remember a friend, MHAI, who always says, "Mabuti pa to si HAPI kasi kahit malaki tiyan pero may bewang, sexy pa din tignan!" LOL

Ayoko na! :) Alright so that's all - I would love to stop now before I mention every part of my body, because I feel good about them all except my tummy! har har

PS: these are the photos available now. I will try to update the pics with the recent ones. :) to give justice! LOL

The Philippines has a new President

My beloved country, the Philippines has its 15th president inaugurated today - BENIGNO AQUINO III. I was following it Live through ANC Live feeds, Twitter and Facebook. I was updating my facebook profile almost every 5 minutes of the latest happenings of the event. It was fun! I was excited and happy to witness this special event in our country although we are not physically there. We have been living abroad for almost three years now but our hearts and hopes still belong to our mother land. Definitely, no one can question that, there is no place like home.

Charice Pempengco sang the National Anthem and she sang it with the correct tempo. This has been a big deal lately because some artists (includes Arnel Pineda of Journey) who sang it during the Manny Pacquiao's fight, done it on their own style instead of sticking to the original tempo/beat (marching) of the song. So the National Historical Institute(NHI) is not happy, artists making it too ballad. -This is just side story.

Alright, so the newly inaugurated president had a 20+ minutes speech mostly in Tagalog. We have heard the synopsis of his plan for the country. We are hopeful that he can make a difference in the governance this time. We will do our part as a citizen. We hope for the better Philippines. We hope for a better future in our land.

God bless PRESIDENT NINOY AQUINO and VP Jejomar Binay. We pray to the Lord that He will guide you to honest and meaningful governance.

MABUHAY!

Potty Training my toddler

Last year, a friend gave me an e-book for potty training, I read through the first few pages but thought it was complicated for me. Sorry. Also my daughter was just 1+ year old that time, thought I might as well try it when she turns two - although I believe it's also good to train them early, maybe i am just lazy. :D So even if there is no serious training for Hershey, I am already introducing this idea to her, from time to time when I am at home I don't let her wear her diaper anymore and instead tell her to let me know if she has to piddle or poo. For many times she won't really tell me she will but run to the bathroom and exactly at the doorstep, she would yell with frustration, "Mommy, wee-wee na!". I felt she really feels she failed me and herself and so encouragingly I would tell her she'll do better next time and she'll smile back and ask me to wash her instead. :D

Weeks ago it has been a discussion in our online FemaleNetwork forum and I thought of looking into this again with H. My other friend bought some training pants for her kid to start their potty training. I thought it was a good idea but I don't want to buy first. Let me just start with a heart to heart conversation with my child again. So I sat down with her and reminded her about it.

I get the nanny involve, she can guide Hershey when I am not home. The solution, we didn't let her wear diapers at home anymore and just time to time ask her if she wants to pee. It was not successful at first, come weekends, I was at home and the first pee for the day (morning) she asked me to take off her underpants, "Mommy, wee-wee." Happy! And the same scenario the whole day and the next. So now, Hershey is officially potty trained when it comes to pee-ing (til the present).

Hopefully we can train her to use the potty chair when poo-ing. :) She's a smart kid anyway, I'm sure it will not be a problem.

P.S I can't think of the best place to put her potty chair. I thought of placing it beside her shoe rack, near the living room and in front of her room door. LOL It's the most convenient place for her. Nearest to her playing area around the house. She can just run/sit on it easily.

PostItNoteTues + Charice is ON Glee Season 2!

Oh yeah, so according to EW.com "...Sources confirm to me exclusively that the international pop star is signed, sealed, and delivered to recur next season as a foreign exchange student whose killer vocals get Rachel (Lea Michele) contemplating murder."

She at first denied this rumor but they say it is for real this time. :) Wow. This is something exciting. I remember the GLEE casts guested on Oprah and Oprah had dubbed Charice as "the most talented girl in the world." plus I think Oprah is also part of Charice' international career.

From Wiki: Dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as the Most Talented Girl in the World,[1] she is the first Asian in history to land in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

So what do you think? Something to look forward on...

Weekends, 19th & 20th June 2010

We went to ToysRUS (Toys Us, as how my daughter says it) last Saturday and bought some stuff for H. We bought her Crayola non toxic finger paints, Crayola Art smock - which we haven't used yet because we had a busy weekend, a kite, and 24-pcs MegaBlocks which she loves and I wonder why I haven't bought her this one sooner. Maybe because I thought she already has her set of fake legos which should be enough. LOL

So last Sunday, aside from going to church, we went for a Father's day BBQ party at Costa Sands together with our Filipino community churchmates. This is how we usually spend our time together outside church, we eat, be merry and exchange testimonies. :) We really can't get over it. There are just so many things to be thankful for in our lives - on our happy or even sad moments.

Some pictures with my husband, daughter, my brother (our pastor) and my niece together with their other
swimming buddies.

Hershey soooo happy! And dad is all smiles too on Father's day! With the goggles is my niece Nikki.

There's my brother holding H and our friend, Jenny.

Happy father's day again to all daddies! God bless you... ♥♥♥
