SEOUL trip : Story behind Arrival

I went over my blog and I didn't see posts regarding our HK new year celebration 2010. Shame, I could have shared a great and blessed moments to everyone but, I am not going to miss sharing another blessing when we went to Seoul for Christmas 2011.

We left Singapore Dec 22 at 10 AM via China Eastern (CE). Aside from using the terminal 3 at the Changi airport, there is really nothing special with CE. Actually, we won't be taking the same airlines next time, although the food and service are okay, but the transfer is a hassle and the planes are small. When you have small planes, turbulence became part of your flight - you wouldn't like it.

So we arrived in Seoul around 9 PM - that is 8 PM SG/HK/PH time. We landed safe and thank God not too tired but we were confuse how to go to the baggage claim counter - quiet challenging. We didn't see any useful signage so we just went with the crowd until one local with a friendly smile affirmed that we are going the right way. We took the train from the arrival hall going to where our luggage are. While on transit, this local was even helpful to ask us if we already know what bus to take from the airport. We have our cheat sheet, my copy of what/where/how on the itinerary but we were still open to her suggestions.

Everything was going good until we arrived at the baggage claim area and knew about the sad truth that we can't find our bags. I thought they were just joking, that all of a sudden someone will come running to us saying that, "Hey, dont worry now, your luggage are here!" But NO. The Aseana team spoke to us and told us our bags were left in Singapore and will be in Seoul tomorrow afternoon. And I dont know what to do. I spoke to CE customer support and they were not even apologetic of what happened. They say they are giving us 50USD for the hassle. Wow, thank you but I  need our bags! *cry*

We were just thankful because I have my daughter's small bag with extra clothes and milk but her vitamins and emergency medicines are all in her luggage. Also grateful that we decided to bring all our winter jackets with us because we thought we will be transiting via China which was on 1 deg cel coldness - so we have to tag along our jackets with us. Buti na lang talaga because when we went outside, it was freezing cold.
We took bus 6103 going to Gangnam and from there our host came to fetch us.  Into her WV convertible car then off to her posh pad.

To be continued...

Done with small boxes to the Phils

Next is to buy my special but not so expensive gifts to hubby and Manang Ji-ji, Hershey's nanny. I'm buying Marv his study bible. :) And Crocs shoes for Ji-ji

I am buying i-dont-know-what for myself. I'm preparing for our Hong Kong trip so I am on tipid mode even though in my heart I want to go home with lots of shopping bags. :)

Last Christmas on Mommy Moments

Signing in for MOMMY MOMENTS!

This Friday's theme, as this is the first Friday of December, Mommy Moments wants to look back on last year's December. I don't have lotsa pictures to grab right now but these two I got from FB Mobile. :)

I will try to upload more tonight.

This is Hershey behind our red themed Christmas tree last year. She asked us to take her a pic on the tree with the Santa hat. :)

And since I will be updating this later on and upload our pics at Orchard Singapore last December, I want to add my picture above taken at Takashimaya during that time. They are displaying this huge LV bag which I think can house my whole house! LOL. This display last December at Orchard was a hit to both locals and foreigners. Can you imagine that? LOL

Will upload more pics again soon.

Happy Christmas.

Last Friday, Marv and I met to purchase our new Christmas tree before heading home As our old one is retiring, it's time to get a new one and maybe upgrade the size and decorations. Indeed, from 4 ft to a 5 feet tall tree and decorated with blue ornaments. This is our color theme for 2010, blue!

Us, united in putting it up! LOL

Our 3 y.o Christmas tree is retiring

Our 4ft tall Christmas tree is already serving its 3rd Christmas this year. I thought it will still stand proud for 2010 Christmas but I don't believe so. It wants to retire soon, I don't think it can even wait til Christmas day!

I just manage to change or add up the decorations each year and planning to have a blue theme this time around but the tree itself is not dependable anymore. It sways on different directions when you touch it, it stands unevenly. Last night, the Christmas lights are also busted. Waaah! So now I'm on the hunt for a new and cheap Christmas tree. I hope I can find one tomorrow, we'll visit Carrefourre and hopefully we can get one for this season.

That's the picture of my daughter and hubby playing around + our Christmas tree. :) Now with my fund almost on its last breath, I hope I could find the best deal there is.

Money, rain on me! :)

I'm out of funds!

I can't believe I'm out of funds! waaaah. I  have been spending too much to satisfy my wants and now I have no enough funds for Christmas shopping. You see, I am preparing three balikbayan medium size boxes to send to the Philippines. Few months back I am planning to give big gifts to our families but it seems impossible now.

There are just too many expenses, too many things I want to buy and I don't want to list them down, I might just feel frustrated. My mom's birthday is coming up, 15th Nov. Instead of arranging a family dinner in a 4 star hotel in the province, I might just ask them to celebrate as usual. I ordered a nice fondant cake for mom! oh noooo!!! My husband's birthday is on the 14th of this month - well, this man is not that hard to please, give him something for his guitar playing and he'll be happy. I already bought him an advance gift, RAT, a guitar effect. I was originally planning to give him a study Bible, but that would cost 50sgd at least. Expensive already!

What should I do now? If only my tummy's excess fat is sell-able. LOL I'm serious although I laugh about the idea. Urgggh!

Money, rain on me!
