I used to hate Jennylyn

Are you a hater? Have you hated someone once upon a time or you are the type that made "hating" a habit? I tried to think about this and realized that I don't really hate anyone but there is someone I don't like and get irritated even by just seeing her on TV. Aside from the fact that I hate her name, well, I am just not a FAN! Yes, she is a TV personality and she is Jennylyn Mercado. LOL. I don't really like her or maybe I should say eventually this dislike became HATE.

I feel irritated when I see her on TV especially when she became the gf of Patrick Garcia and Dennis Trillio. Naman! LOL. Feeling ko lang they are not on the same level, JM, lower. Ang bad ko. Pero what's more intriguing is I tend to stalk her. I read news about her and then hate her after. What a loser! LOL. One day I just realized that I am indeed a loser. I am wasting my time hating or disliking someone who doesn't even know me. I say bad things about her or what she does, I only see her negative side. I know that is non sense so I have changed heart. It's not that I love her already but now, I really don't care. Do whatever you want girl, we are not related to each other anyway! Haha. Be happy.

If you are that somebody who dislike or bad mouth someone else who doesn't even bother you, you are classified as a HATER. From the Urban Dictionary, a hater is:

  • A person that simply cannot be happy for another person's success. So rather than be happy they make a point of exposing a flaw in that person.
  • Overused word that people like to use just because someone else expresses a dislike for a certain individual
Another for you:
  • A person who feels anger and/or jealousy for someone who has succeeded in something they have worked hard for
  • A being who speaks badly,and/or takes negative actions in attempt to create problems for a successful person
  • A person that develops a strong dislike for another, solely basing their own opinion on personal judgment rather than objective merit. The formation of a hater's contempt commonly arises from jealously and/or resentment.
  • A label applied to people who are more negative than positive when discussing another person. It most commonly refers to individuals whose negativity is so extreme that it is all-consuming. However, there are various levels and forms of being a hater, ranging from completely dismissing any positive traits or actions, to merely painting a less than flattering picture by using words with negative connotations. Hating is often attributed to jealousy, but just as often, it seems to stem from some other source.
And a lot more at URBAN DICTIONARY - Hater?
So I realized, I think I am envious of Jennylyn because she is pretty [ as what they say], sexy [as per other people], successful [ya?], etc. <--- Look at those side comments! LOL *face palm* Just kidding, I've got nothing against Jen [wow close?] really.

Therefore I conclude haters are inggeterang palaka! LOL

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. - Mt 5:44

Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy? - Proverbs 27:4 ESV

I pray that I may have this, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.." Galatians 5:22 ESV

Turning worry to being happy

I am a little disturbed this past few days and every time I remember the thing that causes my troubled heart, I just burst out in anger. This is somewhat a marital issue so just every time I am reminded, I become offensive to my husband. What's good about him is that he don't fight back, he just let me be - he understands but in fairness to myself, I am more calm since last night.

Yesterday, I decided to move on. I said to myself that my being worrisome won't do any good to me or to my relationship with my husband. I knelt down and ask God to let my worry go and I asked Him to hold and control my situation. I cannot do anything about it anyway so the best thing to do is let God protect me from any harm.

And I believed in my heart what He said,

28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt11

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Moving on I have this verse in me as well...

John 14:27 "... Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

It's all in His hands so I will be at peace and continue to enjoy His blessings.

I thank God that I have Hershey who entertains me most of the time. I called home this morning and our conversation went like this:

Hershey: Mum, are you with Dad?
Me: No.
H: Call naten si Dad, mum. [Let's call Dad, mum]
Me: I can't call Dad. Diba he lost his phone.
H: Di na naten nakita? [ We didn't find it?]
Me: Di na. [No, not anymore]. Ipag-pray mo anak na makita naten so we don't have to buy a new one.[Pray that we find it so we won't buy a new one anymore]
H: I won't pray.
Me: Huh? Pray ka anak. [Pray.]
H: Di na mum pra we buy a new phone. [No mum so we can buy a new phone]
Me: But we don't have money for the new one.
H: Yan na lang pray ko na may money tayo. [That's what I'm gonna pray instead that we have money.]
Me: 0-_-0

And this is my daughter!

May the Lord bless us with His love and wisdom, always.

How sweet it is to be loved by you

Weeks ago my dear husband surprised me one afternoon. We normally meet on the train when going home - I take the train from Raffles Interchange and him on the next train stop, City hall. I was already seated and didn't bother to look for him as I know he will be right in front of me in a while. I was reading tweets and FB updates on my Blackberry when in a glance I saw a nice bag being handed to me. When I looked up, I saw him carrying the bag with a smile and I knew it, he bought the wedge shoes I've asked him of.

Yes I mentioned to him that I like the shoes as it is comfortable [confirmed since I have the fuchsia color first] and on sale at 20% off. I think the shoes will be a great buy! He didn't say yes but I have the feeling he will. =p Lo and behold, he did. I was really happy that I forgot we are in public, I kissed him tand said thank you and I felt everyone on the train is looking at us. M is really the sweetest. He never fails to surprise me. Sometimes he would bring some chocolates from work, he would ask me and my daughter to close our eyes and surprise us with the sweets. He was really like that ever since - he didn't change at all. He is still the sweetest and a loving boyfriend turned husband.

See the shoes. He took the pics so I can post it here. He likes it when I am proud of him. He feels pogi every time. Well, I would like to give him the luxury to experience it. =p

He bought me the yellow pair, behind it is my old one, fuchsia pink. =D

So again I am grateful to God for giving me someone like him. I always feel I am loved as he always let's me feel I am special [although sometimes my daughter is more special than I =p] I thank his Mom for raising him up, such a loving and responsible man. You know, even when he was just my boyfriend, it is only on rare occasions that I open the car door for myself, it is always him who opens and gently closes the door behind me. He carries my bag when I ask him to or if he feels it's heavy. When I was pregnant, he cooks and prepare my lunch bag for me. He is also my bestest friend. When I feel down or sad, he comforts me and tells me beautiful things about myself. He prays for me also. If I have to list down everything, I'm sure I have more.

This just works for us,

Colossians 3:18-19
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.  Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

Thank you, Father for blessing me a great man to be with forever and I believe that through You, I can be the wife you promise him to have. Mold me and make me, this I pray. Amen.

Colored toe nails, I like

I'm really not used of seeing my toe nails unpolished but I think for a week now, my toes are just being simple. I kept it colorless but I eventually thought it looks lifeless so I went to the nearest store to purchase a nail color.

I wanted to purchase O.P.I but it's a bit expensive. I can already purchase 10kg of rice with it's price. Nyehehhe. So I stroll around the mall hoping to get a nice but affordable polish and finally found, Tony Moly cosmetic store. They have a pretty good range of nail colors at the prices of, $4.90, $8.90, $11.90 and $12.90. Of course being penny-wise, obviously, I purchased a RED color at $4.90. Meynteyn! :)

This is RED <3

Applied on my toenails and it looks like this, not bad, yeah? :)

By the way, those sandals were from here but I fixed it and hubby still bought a new pair for me. :)

† God of F,H,L †

As I watched the video of Kelsey , the miracle baby who was born without a heartbeat [ here ], I was amazed by how her mom fight for something which human classify as impossible. Throughout the video I felt how strong the family was, especially the mother, so just every time the video flashes her thoughts of how God will beautifully work on their behalf, I note it down.

At one point on the video she said,

"God, you only give us what we can handle and we found strength we never had..."

Take it from someone who just saw her daughter wheeled away and will be brought to the Children's ICU. Really heartbreaking but she handled it with faith, looking at the cross that one way or another, God is there. He has this situation under His care.

She also added, "God showed us His presence. Through the tears we shed, our faith grew stronger as He brought us to our knees."

Amazing. I like it how the Lord keeps you on your knees. That in every situation we understand that He is still God and He knows what He is doing so all we can do is believe that He will favor us. Kneeling to the Lord is a sign of humility, a surrender. I remember when I lost my job before, I was praying to the Lord and instead of crying and questioning, I went down on my knees and with all my heart told Him that my faith is in Him, that he can make my circumstance just a piece of testimony in the future, and He did. I found a job and after I signed the contract, I went back to His presence and knelt. Thankful that as always, He never turns his back away from me.

Kelsey recovered. Her family loved her story and shouted to the world how great is their God. There is really nothing to worry about, say what is on your mind to the Lord. Tell him what's on your heart and He will happily carry the burden for you. For he said in Matt 11:23-30, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Beautiful. As beautiful as my God.

He is the God of faith, of hope and of love. Be blessed for he is the source of all blessing.
